Viktor's vast managerial experience include, in particular, serving as the Chairman of the Management Board of “ProCreditBank” JSC, part of ProCredit Holding (Germany), from 2012 to 2024.
He earned a master's degree in business administration at A. B. Freeman School of Business, Tulane University, USA (2002). He also holds a degree from Kyiv National Economic University (1997). Viktor Ponomarenko is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA).
In May 2024 the Supervisory Board of “Ukreximbank” JSC selected Viktor Ponomarenko as the winner of the competition for the position of the Chairman of the Management Board of “Ukreximbank” JSC. On 18 June 2024 the National Bank of Ukraine approved Mr. Ponomarenko for the position of the Chairman of the Management Board of Ukreximbank. Viktor Ponomarenko took office on 1 July 2024.
