Ukreximbank has attracted the second tranche of the EUR 20 million unfunded portfolio risk-sharing facility from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The instrument aims to support private enterprises operating in strategic sectors of the economy, such as agriculture, food industry, trade etc.
The EBRD's participation in risk-sharing will enable eligible sub-borrowers to access financing with reduced collateral requirements and receive technical and grant support provided with funding by the European Union.
For reference.
In March 2024, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Ukreximbank signed EBRD Unfunded Risk Sharing Facility Agreement. The agreement aims to initiate the implementation of the EBRD’s Resilience and Livelihoods Framework and, as part of it, the SME Competitiveness in Eastern Partnership program.
On 6 December 2024, the additional agreement to the Risk Sharing Agreement was concluded, which allowed the access to tranche B.
The portfolio of sub-loans covered by the EBRD under the risk-sharing facility within the framework of the programme is capped at EUR 40 million (in two separate tranches A and B of EUR 20 million each).
